Groundwater well systems

One way to use geothermal heat is to extract energy from the groundwater.

Two wells are required for that method. Water is removed from one well and pumped through the heat exchanger of the heat pump.

This heat pump uses the energy contained in that water. The cooled water is then returned via the second well into the ground again.
