At a slightly higher price, a special technique can be used to reverse the function of the heat pump - which means, active cooling.
As a result, the heat pump can be cooled 5°C to 8°C in the summer in the desired rooms via the available heating systems.
The active cooling system also functions during long-lasting hot spells without any loss of effect.
In contrast to passive cooling: here the cooler temperature of the soil is transferred directly to the floor heating system. However, during longer warm spells, the soil around the installed brine pipes heats up increasingly and the cooling effect is reduced significantly.
On the other hand, with active cooling, the function within the heat pump is reversed, and the full cooling effect is maintained even during longer hot spells.
